☆2000年からスポンサーが変わり審査も少し変わったそうです。その一つとしてワイン産業が輸出に力を入れようとしていることを反映して輸出カテゴリー(200Case以上輸出していることが条件）が出来ました。
採点法
３人のジャッジが２０点満点（色２点、香り７点、味と総合的な印象１０点）で採点し
- 55.5点以上：Gold Medal
- 51 〜55.4 ：Silver Medal
- 46.5〜50.9：Bronze Medal

・どのワインも同じように審査されますが、カテゴリー「Ｃ」のみを対象としたトロフィーが２つだけあります。
今回のワインショーの最優秀ワインはピノ・ノワールでした。最近盛んに言われるとおり、ソービニョン・ブランに続くニュージーランドのワインはピノ・ノワールであることを印象づけるものと言えます。
